Boros Collection

Bunker Berlin, No. 3

The Boros Collection's third presentation in the former Reichsbahn bunker showcases recently acquired works in dialogue with pieces from the 1990s and 2000s. Visitors from all over the world are invited to explore the creative positions set out across eighty rooms on five floors in guided tours. Since 2008, when the inaugural exhibition opened in the converted bunker, more than 300,000 people have visited the historic building dating from 1941 in Berlin's Mitte district. In the GDR, it was repurposed as a storage facility for tropical fruits. After the fall of the Wall, it became the legendary Techno club "Bunker". The book documents Christian and Karen Boros's collection of contemporary art in the unique ambience of the bunker in sumptuous installation shots and offers an introduction to the works on view.
