About the Author

Kristine McKenna is an American journalist, critic, and curator. She has written for Artforum, The New York Times, ArtNews, Vanity Fair, The Washington Post, and Rolling Stone Magazine.

Stijn Huijts is Artistic Director of the Bonnefantenmuseum, Maastricht in the Netherlands.

Petra Giloy-Hirtz, former associate professor in medieval German literature, is a curator and author based in Munich; recent exhibitions and publications include "David Lynch: The Factory Photographs", "Dennis Hopper: The Lost Album" and "Kiki Smith: Procession" (Prestel).
